New AVURE HPP Testing and Tolling Center in Florida

HPP Fresh Florida is the first and only HPP service provider in Florida to help food and beverage producers’ improve safety, shelf life, and clean label strategies.

An Avure AV-40X HPP system has been installed and commissioned in the company’s new testing and HPP tolling facility at HPP Fresh Florida in Bartow. 
 
“Bartow is a great location not only for its geographical importance for serving the citrus industry in Florida, but also because of the vast amount of food and beverage production that exists in the region,” said Lisa Wessels, Marketing Director of Avure Technologies.  “It’s exciting to see HPP Fresh Florida bring high pressure processing to the southeast and include Avure HPP machines as part of their strategy.” 
 
The new state-of-the-art facility is equipped to initially process up to 40 million pounds per year of packaged products such as meats, wet salads, hummus, guacamole, spreads, ready meals, seafood and juices.  The facility was designed to expand processing capabilities to 140 million lbs per year.
