Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer

Tom Giacomini Thomas W. Giacomini was appointed JBT Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer in September 2013 and was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors in May 2014.

Prior to joining JBT, he served as Vice President (since February 2008) of Dover Corporation, a diversified global manufacturer, and President and Chief Executive Officer (since November 2011) of Dover Engineered Systems. Prior to serving in these roles, Mr. Giacomini served as President (from April 2009 to November 2011) and Chief Executive Officer (from July 2009 to November 2011) of Dover Industrial Products and President (from October 2007 to July 2009) of Dover’s Material Handling Platform. Mr. Giacomini joined Dover in 2003 following its acquisition of Warn Industries, an industrial manufacturer specializing in vehicle performance enhancing equipment. During his 12 year tenure at Warn Industries he held a variety of leadership roles including President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Warn Industries, Mr. Giacomini held various roles at TRW, Inc.

Mr. Giacomini holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan (Dearborn).

Executive Vice President, President JBT AeroTech

David BurdakinDavid C. Burdakin joined JBT Corporation as a Vice President and Division Manager of JBT AeroTech in January 2014 and was appointed Executive Vice President and President JBT AeroTech in May 2014.

Mr. Burdakin has over 25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing and executive leadership. Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Burdakin was with Mayline Corporation, a private equity owned industrial company, where he most recently served as Non-Executive Chairman. Previous to Mayline, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer (2007 to 2012) of Paladin Brands, a leading independent manufacturer of attachment tools for construction equipment including mobile aviation support equipment. Prior to that, he progressed through various leadership roles at HNI Corporation (1993 to 2007), including seven years as President of The HON Company, HNI's largest operating company. Before joining HNI, Mr. Burdakin held various roles at Illinois Tool Works Inc. and Bendix Industrial Group. 

Mr. Burdakin holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.

Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Jason ClaytonMr. Clayton has extensive industrial experience and a broad HR background, including leadership roles in talent acquisition and management, and compensation. Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Clayton served as Vice President, Human Resources for Signode Industrial Group, an industrial packaging company since October 2015. He served as Vice President, Human Resources, with IDEX Corporation from July 2010 to September 2015. Prior to that, Mr. Clayton served in a variety of HR management roles with Pepsi and Newell Rubbermaid.

Mr. Clayton holds an M.S., Human Resources, Industrial Relations, from West Virginia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from the University of Florida.

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer

Brian DeckBrian A. Deck was appointed as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of JBT Corporation in February 2014, and became Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of JBT in May 2014.

Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Deck served as Chief Financial Officer of National Material L.P., a private diversified industrial holding company (since May 2011). He served as Vice President of Finance and Treasury (from November 2007 to May 2011) and as Director, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (from August 2005 to November 2007) of Ryerson Inc., a metals distributor and processor. Prior to his service with Ryerson, Mr. Deck had increasing responsibilities with General Electric Capital, Bank One (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) and Cole Taylor Bank. 

Mr. Deck holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from DePaul University in Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois. 

Executive Vice President and President, Liquid Foods

Carlos FernandezCarlos Fernandez was appointed as Executive Vice President of JBT Corporation and President, Liquid Foods in August 2017. 

Mr. Fernandez joined JBT’s predecessor FMC Corporation in 1996 as a Financial Analyst in Madrid, Spain. He subsequently served in various finance roles with FMC Corporation and its successor FMC Technologies, Inc.  From 2005 through 2011, Mr. Fernandez served as the General Manager of the Tomato and Fruit business based in Parma, Italy with FMC Technologies and, following its spin-off, JBT Corporation.  In 2011, he was named Deputy General Manager of Fruit and Juice Solutions, becoming General Manager in 2012.  Mr. Fernandez was named Vice President of JBT and General Manager of Liquid Foods Technologies in 2014 and became President, Liquid Foods in 2016.  

Mr. Fernandez holds an MBA from the University of Madrid, and has a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and Business from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Law Degree from UNED. 

Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer 

Bryany Lowery

Bryant Lowery was appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer of JBT Corporation in November 2018.  Mr. Lowery brings an impressive record of leading global supply-chain initiatives that generated significant margin expansion at leading industrial Fortune 500 companies.

Mr. Lowery brings over 25 years of engineering, procurement, supply chain and P&L management experience.  Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Lowery served as Vice President, Global Supply Chain at Fortive where he was responsible for global supply chain initiatives across their Gilbarco Veeder-Root / Transportation Technologies Platform, spun off from Danaher in July 2016.  Also during his time at Fortive, he led global procurement activities at Fluke Corporation.  Prior to Danaher, Mr. Lowery served as the Procurement Director at Ingersoll Rand, Residential Solutions Sector from 2012 to 2014.  Prior to Ingersoll Rand he held various engineering, supply-chain and procurement leadership roles of increasing responsibilities at General Motors, Johnson Controls, Whirlpool and Dell.

Mr. Lowery holds a Master’s of Science, Engineering Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Wayne State University.

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary

James MarvinJames L. Marvin joined FMC Technologies, Inc., the predecessor to JBT, in April 2003 as Assistant General Counsel. Subsequent to JBT Corporation’s spin-off from FMC Technologies in July 2008, Mr. Marvin became the Deputy General Counsel and Secretary of JBT Corporation. He assumed his current role in May 2014. Mr. Marvin spent the previous seven years at Heller Financial, Inc., a financial services business, where he served as Corporate Finance Division Counsel and later as Chief Corporate Counsel. In 1990, Mr. Marvin joined Chicago-based law firm, Katten Muchin & Zavis as a partner, primarily represented financial institutions. Prior to that, Mr. Marvin was an associate at O’Connor Cavanagh Killingsworth & Beshears, in Phoenix, Arizona, where he practiced securities law.

Mr. Marvin received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law. 

Executive Vice President and President, Protein

Paul SternliebPaul Sternlieb joined JBT in October 2017 with experience in the global food business and a record of using a systematic approach to delivering growth and margin expansion at premier industrial companies.  Prior to JBT, Mr. Sternlieb was Group President, Global Cooking in the Food Equipment Group at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) since 2014.  He served as a Vice President & General Manager with Danaher from 2011 to 2014.  Before Danaher, he held management roles with the H.J. Heinz Company, a leading food production company, and was a consultant with McKinsey & Company where he led consulting engagements for global food and beverage clients.

Mr. Sternlieb holds an MBA, as a Palmer Scholar, from the Wharton School, and dual undergraduate degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania.
