JBT is led by a strong, experienced senior management team
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Deck was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of JBT Corporation, as well as a member of the JBT Board of Directors, in December 2020. Prior to that, Brian served as JBT’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since May 2014, after serving as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since joining JBT in February 2014.
Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Deck served as Chief Financial Officer of National Material L.P., a private diversified industrial holding company (since May 2011). He served as Vice President of Finance and Treasury (from November 2007 to May 2011) and as Director, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (from August 2005 to November 2007) of Ryerson Inc., a metals distributor and processor. Prior to his service with Ryerson, Mr. Deck had increasing responsibilities with General Electric Capital, Bank One (now JPMorgan Chase & Co.) and Cole Taylor Bank.
Mr. Deck holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from DePaul University in Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois.
Executive Vice President, President JBT AeroTech
David C. Burdakin joined JBT Corporation as a Vice President and Division Manager of JBT AeroTech in January 2014 and was appointed Executive Vice President and President JBT AeroTech in May 2014.
Mr. Burdakin has over 25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing and executive leadership. Prior to joining JBT, Mr. Burdakin was with Mayline Corporation, a private equity owned industrial company, where he most recently served as Non-Executive Chairman. Previous to Mayline, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer (2007 to 2012) of Paladin Brands, a leading independent manufacturer of attachment tools for construction equipment including mobile aviation support equipment. Prior to that, he progressed through various leadership roles at HNI Corporation (1993 to 2007), including seven years as President of The HON Company, HNI’s largest operating company. Before joining HNI, Mr. Burdakin held various roles at Illinois Tool Works Inc. and Bendix Industrial Group.
Mr. Burdakin holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University.
President/General Manager
Frank has over 25+ years of industrial experience within sales, service, and aftermarket support. After a successful and progressive career with JBT Jetway Systems®, Frank accepted the position in 2021 as the President & General Manager for JBT Airport Services with the executive duties & responsibilities of directing the organization of over 900+ full-time Team Members operating at over twenty (20+) airports across the United States.
As President/General Manager of the JBT Airport Services business unit, Frank provides leadership and oversight for the business and is responsible for the growth and direction of the organization.
President, Jetway Systems
Brian DeRoche has been serving as General Manager of Jetway Systems since 2014 and in 2019 was appointed President.
Mr. DeRoche has over 17 years of experience in the aviation sector. During his time with JBT, he has acted as Director of Global Operations (2011 – 2014) and Director of Project Management (2003 – 2007). Prior to joining JBT, Mr. DeRoche was General Manager – Western Operations with Enviro Engineering – Pritchard Brown, Director Worldwide Engineering with Baker Hughes – Eimco Process Equipment, and International Operations Director, also with Baker Hughes.
Mr. DeRoche has an MBA from Westminster College and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah.
President, Ground Support Equipment
Chuck Durst has been General Manager of AeroTech’s Ground Support Equipment business unit since 2002 and in 2019 was appointed President.
Prior to moving to the aviation sector, Mr. Durst worked in the energy business as General Manager, Western Hemisphere for Surface Wellhead (FMC 1999 – 2002), VP Operations (FMC-ETEG, SOFEC 1994 – 1999), plant and procurement manager positions (1989 – 1994) and a variety of procurement and financial manager postings.
Mr. Durst holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in economics, both from Harvard.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
James L. Marvin joined FMC Technologies, Inc., the predecessor to JBT, in April 2003 as Assistant General Counsel. Subsequent to JBT Corporation’s spin-off from FMC Technologies in July 2008, Mr. Marvin became the Deputy General Counsel and Secretary of JBT Corporation. He assumed his current role in May 2014. Mr. Marvin spent the previous seven years at Heller Financial, Inc., a financial services business, where he served as Corporate Finance Division Counsel and later as Chief Corporate Counsel. In 1990, Mr. Marvin joined Chicago-based law firm, Katten Muchin & Zavis as a partner, primarily represented financial institutions. Prior to that, Mr. Marvin was an associate at O’Connor Cavanagh Killingsworth & Beshears, in Phoenix, Arizona, where he practiced securities law.
Mr. Marvin received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law.
